LOCAL HOTELS SCORE BIG WITH GUESTS AND RECEIVE HIGH HONORS
FRISCO, TX - APRIL 13, 2011 The people have spoken and the country's best hotels have been receiving awards based on guest's feedback. This year, several Texas hotels have ranked among the best in the nation.
Leading the impressive line-up of awards is the Hampton Inn & Suites Waco South which is the recipient of the prestigious Connie Award, ranking it #2 out of all 1800 Hampton hotels in 2010. This award is one of the top honors in the field and adds to the hotels' rich history of awards, including a Lighthouse Award in 2009. The hotel is owned and operated by Image Hospitality, a hotel management and development company that boasts 10 award-winning hotels in East, Central and North Texas.
Other Image Hospitality properties also received impressive awards this year: Fairfield Inn & Suites in Marshall, TX, won the Diamond Award, a prize given to only 3 Fairfield hotels in the nation and denotes the highest Quality and Overall Satisfaction scores in the Marriott system. The award follows a Marriott International Guest Satisfaction Platinum Award in both 2009 and 2008.
Both the Courtyard by Marriot in Lufkin and the Fairfield Inn & Suites of Waco North received the Marriott International Guest Satisfaction Gold Award, ranking them among of the top 10% of the brand, while Courtyard by Marriott in Wichita Falls won the Marriott International Guest Satisfaction Platinum Award, distinguishing it in the top 5%.
The awards are based off of Marriott International's GSS program, an online survey conducted to gather guests' feedback from their visits.
This year's awards follow a long-standing trend for Image Hospitality properties; over the past 5 years, 6 of their hotels have received more than 20 local and national awards.
